Mark T. Duffy is an artist living in Oakland, Ca.  His work expresses an interest in understanding how power structures affect society, and is informed by research in philosophy, post-humanities theory, and critical pedagogy.  He uses chance, improvisation, and an unconscious mode of thinking to subvert language and contend with the impossibility of news forms.  He has exhibited at SFMOMA Library, 500 Capp Street, Worth Ryder Art Gallery, and Slash, in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA. In 2024 he completed a residency at Yaddo in New York. He is currently working on an Art Practice MFA at UC Berkeley '27.
